Catharsis Application Program
Psycho Emotional Therapy
If it was not for a team of forward thinking professionals who have an enthusiasm for innovation and the passion to guide others on a unique and profound path toward self discovery and healing, the development of the Catharsis Application Program methodology would have remained a mere vision.
We have had the honor and privilege to work with senior professionals over more than 40 years who are part of a great chain of innovative and passionate human researchers. Their lives have been dedicated to the service of an evolutionary ideal for healing emotional wounds through music and art and embracing the uniqueness of each individual.
Dr. Alain Amouyal, Ms. Chantal Desmoulins and their collaborators have conducted extensive qualitative research based on the description, analysis, and interpretation of observed phenomena associating the music of Catharsis Technique with expressive drawing.
Clinical research and results have applied the Catharsis Application Program (CAP) and Technique with adult men, women, children, adolescents, the elderly; those experiencing traumatic stress, Alzheimer’s, spatial disorders, behavioral difficulties, depression; or psychiatric or psychological challenges, and with many other.
This research testifies to the special impact the unique music of the Catharsis Application Program (CAP) has on emotional release and rebalancing of the emotional psyche.
To review a sampling of outcomes download our paper Clinical Results and Methodology by Ms. Chantal Desmoulins of The Orpheus Institute, summarizing the outcomes in working with emotional healing using CAP.
We are also happy to provide additional empirical research at your request. Contact Us.

When therapists choose to use the CAP methodology that combines drawing under musical induction, writing and verbalization, they provide their clients with a very efficient tool to become active participants in their own treatment and thus facilitate self-discovery, change, and restoration.
